The Wendell August Forge Process

• Artists: Original artwork establishes the design for every piece.
• Die engravers: The design is transferred into a steel die; hand-engraved pieces may carry the engraver’s hidden signature.
• Craftspeople: Recyclable aluminum and specialty metals are hammered, formed, and carefully finished using the repoussé process.

From our Portraits of Christmas Ornament Collection, Christmastime in the City celebrates the beauty of a Nativity Scene in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. It beautiful reminder of the real reason for the season. Handcrafted and adorned with Austrian crystals, the ornament comes to life with stunning detail. The ornament is designed after Pittsburgh's iconic downtown creche at the US Steel Tower, which is the world’s only replica of the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square display in Rome.
